Electronic Cargo Custody Product
Digit E-Lock
Locked By Command. Opened By Permission.
The Digit E-Lock is a keyless, motor-driven lock for vehicle cargo doors — nothing to cut, nothing to pick, no key to copy or hand over. As a result, the right to open a cargo door becomes an operational decision: commanded, time-stamped and reported to your platform.
Why It Exists
You Don’t Lose Cargo When It Moves — You Lose It When Anyone Can Open The Door
A padlock is an invitation with a keyhole. A seal is a receipt for a theft that already happened. Between the depot and the drop, the doors open — at a robot, a lay-by, a dock — yet nobody in the operation decided they should.
Instead, the Digit E-Lock is built on a different premise: because the right to open a cargo door is an operational decision, it should answer only to the operation. Mounted inside the compartment — or externally behind a welded steel cover — it answers to command, never to a bolt cutter’s convenience.

Six Ways The Digit E-Lock Pays For Itself
Theft Stopped At The Door
Physical denial before the loss — not evidence after it. As a result, the two things cargo crime depends on, an attackable lock and an unaccountable opening, are removed.
Cold Chain Protected
Instead, doors open only where and when the operation decides — because every unauthorised opening is a temperature excursion waiting to be explained.
Hygiene Certification Defended
Controlled access with a disinfectable ABS cover, because food-chain and pharma vehicles must be cleaned with dedicated chemical agents.
Insurance Exposure Reduced
A commanded, logged custody trail on every trip — so “who opened it?” turns from a dispute into a record your insurer can read.
The Seal Economy Ended
No consumables, no copies, no roadside discretion — and, above all, no seal budget quietly burning every month.
Accountability Restored
Who opened what, when, on whose authority — in short, every trip is commanded, time-stamped and reported to the platform.
Proven across 250 000+ locks in seven years of production — supplied into major South African cargo-security projects with zero claims received.

Command What Matters
Not Hung Outside. Never Cut In Seconds. Nobody’s To Open.
If your operation can no longer afford to wonder who opened the doors, when, and on whose authority — speak to a specialist. Then, after one short form, a DigitFMS specialist comes back within one business day with your E-Lock plan: configurations, mounting options, and how commanded custody fits the telematics you already run.
The Rest Of The Range
Digit E-Lock Works Alone — And Better In Layers
Commanded custody is one part of the DigitFMS stack — so pair the E-Lock with the layers that track the vehicle, the load, and the moments in between.
